THE REFEREE COURSE BY SOLE ARBITER LLC:
Sole Arbiter is a dynamic, hands-on three-day course on how to be a boxing referee.
Sole Arbiter is a roadmap to success, a dynamic hands on 3-day course on how to be a boxing referee. From the philosophy of officiating to practicing skills and mechanics, Sole Arbiter covers all aspects of the most difficult of all sports officiating. Taught by experienced referees, the course is a distillation of the knowledge gained in thousands of fights. Subject matter experts, including Fighters, Trainers, Ringside Physicians, Cornermen, Referees, Judges, Commentators, and Athletic Commission Representatives will be guest speakers to enhance your knowledge of the dynamics of a boxing contest.
You will practice and be critiqued on techniques such as breaks, knockdowns, and emergency medical situations in actual sparring situations. All levels of officials, from novice through expert, will find this course challenging and useful.
The course consists of three extensive training days, including lectures, ringwork, testing and critiques. This course will challenge you and bring your refereeing skills to a much higher level.
This course allows you the opportunity to be certified as a Boxing Referee by the Association of Boxing Commissions upon successful completion and testing.
The Sole Arbiter course curriculum teaches the ABC approved Unified Rules and Mechanics. We encourage all potential students to visit the ABC Website and become familiar with the Unified Rules, Referees Manual, Referee & Judge Certification Program, and other related publications.

Sole Arbiter LLC will make every effort to accommodate all applicants with physical disabilities during the training. Safety and common sense will be the determining factors in any practical exercises or ring work.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
All course participants must sign the following as part of the course registration, releasing Sole Arbiter LLC from liability. Below is a copy the liability form which you will be required to sign when registering for the course.
I hereby acknowledge that I am at least 18 years of age and have voluntarily applied to participate in the instructional course Sole Arbiter LLC. I am fully aware of the potential risks associated with the activity in which I have chosen to participate in and of other extraneous risks, which may occur due to participation in this course. I also understand this acknowledgement waiver and release covers claims and liabilities caused by the acts or omissions of Sole Arbiter LLC including but not limited to mistake, negligence or failure to supervise by Sole Arbiter LLC, its employees, agents and/or other representatives.
As lawful consideration for being permitted by Sole Arbiter LLC to participate in these activities, I hereby agree that I, my heirs, distributes, guardians, legal representatives and assigns, will not make claim against, sue, attach the property of or prosecute Sole Arbiter LLC, its owners, employees, representatives or agents, personality and/or any of its affiliated organizations for any injury or damage resulting from participating in such activities.
I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY BETWEEN ME, SOLE ARBITER LLC AND/OR ITS AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS AND I HAVE SIGNED THIS ON MY OWN FREE WILL. *
If emergency medical treatment were needed for you, you may enable us to arrange for an ambulance on your behalf and at your sole expense. You may do this during course enrollment.
Sole Arbiter LLC has a restrictive recording policy on material content, but not on your experience! We encourage you to take pictures and videos to share with your loved ones, friends and memorialize this experience on social media.

All participants who take this course will be required to read and sign a “Code of Ethics” policy. It needs to be clearly understood that taking this course does not entitle you to a license from any State Athletic Commission or any guarantee you work as a Boxing referee or judge.
Registration/Cancellation Policy (effective November 1, 2021):
Once your registration fee has been received and processed through our secure payment system, your spot will be reserved. Participants who cancel at least two months in advance will be subject to a cancellation charge of 50% of the registration fee, which may be applied to the registration for a future class with Sole Arbiter LLC within one year of canceling the original class you were registered in. Participants who cancel later than two months before the first class date will receive no refund.
